First time within decent shooting range. And the subject was most tolerant. Was a busy Saturday at the Sacramento National Wildlife Refuge. He finally left when the fourth vehicle showed up. There was 3 juveniles and 1 adult that I saw but this was the only cooperative subject

Hi, Your first photo is very nice and the lighting is great. It's always great when you can capture these guys.. not many people get the chance. This winter I've been watching about 5 that come to the lake every day but I've yet to get a decent shot of them. Nice going !!!

Thanks all it was a thrill. He was nice enough to cooperate. I got shots of 2 others but this was the best captures. I was real happy about getting a great shot of a kingfisher I have been trying for months to get a good one. My Moms favorite bird will have to post it later. Still have to process a lot
