Hey all..I've been lurking for a little while. Your photos are all amazing! This is my first photo post. I took it a couple of years ago with my old camera. I always liked the pollen on the legs. Not sure what kind of bee it is with the green body color. Please feel free to be critical as I believe it's the only way to learn.

    Lovely shot-
Think bee is a sweat bee of some kind.
My only criticism would be that it is much nicer if you can see the head clearly but you have captured the marvellous colour of the bee.

Hi there Mike glad you've come out of lurking mode and into posting mode clap.gif

Love the little fat laiden legs of this little bee,
makes it look as if it's got yellow puffy pants on doesn't it rolleyes1.gif

Too bad for you the little fella wasn't facing you,
    but sometimes these things happen.

Welcome to the Macro Forum Mike, looking forward to more from you.
Hope you find another of these Bees to shoot too thumb.gif .... Skippy :D

Brian and Skippy thanks for the comments. I have some shots with the bees head but they didn't come out as clear and in focus as this one. There were at least 30 of these buggers in the garden making you get out as fast as possible!
