I've one pretty much like new with all caps/box/papers/receipt/plastic wrapping with a nice top of the line Hoya s-HMC UV filter (Hoya's top of the line super multicoated model) that I've had on it for protection. No scratches, nicks, dings on the filter or the lens.

I really don't use this much, I originally thought about using it as a point and shoot on the Rebel XTi, but haven't really done so. I'm thinking about selling it and getting a point and shoot instead, so I can actually use the gear. This would make a nice walking around lens with a 4 stop IS for someone who is on a budget or for someone just looking for a new fun toy.

B&H has it for $175 but they are all sold out as the new optics of this lens is excellent and folks have bought all available. Here are some reviews of it at photozone.de and slrgear.com, and lastly my own test of it here.

This is a quote from Photozone's review:
" There were a few moments when I considered not to publish the results due to "political correctness" because to date it was a quite absurd thought that such a cheap, or better "affordable", lens can perform this good and I'm sure that some will not believe the findings even though they're supported by the published field images. Anyway, the resolution capabilities of the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS is nothing short of amazing. "

I still have a receipt for it as well from B&H, bought on 11/07 so there is about 10 months worth of warranty left.

I'll let the lens and the UV filter go for $170 for the lens and the filter or for $155 for the lens.

Let me know if anyone is interested for a local buy only. I don't want to deal with shipping and paypal. I want it so that you can come see it and if you want it buy it right there.
Send me a PM if interested.
TY
