I had the pleasure of taking photographs at New Jersey's first civil union of 2008, held in the Historic Leow's Theater in Jersey City (built in 1927, threatened with demolition in the 90's, currently being restored after a "chain-yourself-to-the-door" protection effort by irate local citizens).
