I initially read - concrete planet - and yeah, a lot of complaints about that !!!

But "concrete plant" picture is really pretty good thumb.gif

Its a nice exposure, but nothing really pulls me into the image... even the tracks leading into it, I find somewhat boring... but if it were just for exposing well... great job. lol.

I like the exposure and smooth smoke, but the composition seems a little off to me. Try cropping to the smoke stack, eliminating the bright white light and most of the featureless embankment, and slicing a little off the bottom to lower your horizon line. I think that will take this from "interesting" to "woah, cool!" thumb.gif

Llywellyn: What do you think of this?

Mike: I'd love to see some of your stuff

Oh, I find that much stronger. It really emphasizes the diagonal line of the train. thumb.gif I'd be curious to see if slicing off the last little bit of that white light on the left helps or hurts the composition. ne_nau.gif

I tried it and I think that it hurts it -- takes just a little too much.

Totally pulls me in. From the darkness, and around the corner, and makes me want to know what is happening up around the corner. Or just keep standing in the dark! I like it.

I love night scenes like this. Covert, cold, and a bit of an architectural peepshow. thumb.gif

I like your edit with the new crop. Have you played around with stopping the lens down a bit more? Doing so will give you more defined starbursts in your lamps, like this.

    Thanks for sharing! :D
