Man that must have been some telephoto lens to capture all those beautiful shots from a cruise ship..rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif

Lovely shots. My favorites are the Masked Booby and the Green Basiliscus Lizard. The color on the lizard is wonderful. Thanks for sharing..

Beautiful set. That sloth really covers some territory doesn't he? I always thought they were quite sedentary. :D

    Thanks.
Thanks everyone for looking and commenting.

PrescottPhotog - The wildlife photos are mostly with a Canon 100-400L on a Canon 20D body; except for the photos from Wakodahatchee, all were handheld. Used a Sigma 17-200 (stabilized-handheld) on a Canon 40D body at the Flamingo Gardens. The booby and pelican are indeed from the ship - it was amazing to see the birds come out of nowhere, flying around the ship and diving for fish for quite a long period of time. The rest are from shore excursions - in small boats that did not make for the stablest environment for wildlife photography, but I'm overall pleased with the pictures I was able to get.

Maestro - Costa Rica is fantastic. Would love to go back for a land vacation where we can really take our time with photography. Even with a private guide, we were a bit rushed.

ShepsMom - Florida is indeed great for wildlife. Also went to Loxahatchee while we were down there, but the wildlife sightings weren't as good as Wakodahatchee. Hope to make it down that way again to spend more time at the refuges, and of course, we have yet to visit the Everglades.

Jack'll Do - Yes, the sloths bely their name - they move a lot faster than I anticipated; fascinating creatures. We were lucky to see several in the wild - a couple of two-toed ones as well.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
