My wrecked car

Finally insurance adjuster came out and decided that car can't be fixed. Insurance giving me $3500.00 :clap I'm happy about it, because this car worth no more then $1000.00. It seen better days, needed body work, etc. But it could run easily for another 5 years.
I must say this car served me very well for 12 years (yeah Toyota!), and i'm really sad that it ended that way. :cry
Here are some pictures i took today from the towing yard.

Impressive you could climb out of that with no injuries. Congrats on the settlement. Sometimes it is not that easy to get the insurance to settle.
Glad you are OK.

Scary stuff, Marina. It's good that you got at least a down payment for a new car, or maybe even enough to buy a solid used car.

Seriously, good that you got through that intact.

You really led me to believe, with your first shot of the mirror, that this was a minor fender-bender. As I scrolled down to the fifth shot, I realized it was a significant wreck. Having lost my father-in-law due to injuries he received from his car wreck, I'm glad to hear you walked away from yours.

+1!!!

Yep, I'm jsut sick in the head. A quick run with a sawzall removes the bent-up roof, instant convertible. Just ignore the lack of windshield & how annoyed any cop who sees it on the road would be.
Though in reality-land the unibody is likely twisted after that experience & not really usable.
