How do you keep up with the Dgrin board?

I seem to spend most of my time on the Contests and Challenges board with occasional views of Cameras and Landscapes. Just last night I visited the Big Picture and realized I was missing out on some really great threads. So my question to the avid visitors and contributors is how do you keep up? I use netnewswire as my rss reader on the Macbook and had subscribed to a number of rss feeds for the boards before. Is there a better way than that?
Thanks,
E

I just focus on the genres that interest me so it doesn't take a load of time. My main interests are people (I like playing with light for portraits), Other Cool Shots (cause I do IR photography and abstract), Sports (my kids are playing in dim gyms for the winter and I want to take better photos of them), and I peruse Technique to find tips to take better photos.

"New Stuff" link on the menu bar is invaluable and addictive. I must click it a hundred times a day!

Thanks! "New Stuff" is very usefull.
Never really looked at that nav bar til now.
I wish that the RSS feeds provided more info like some other sites though.

    RSS Feed
I use the RSS feed and my iGoogle page has the Google Reader Gadget on it. Seems to work well for me. Plus of course the "New Stuff" button.

Also, clicking the arrow to the left of the thread title takes you to the first unread reply. That saves scrolling through the stuff you've already seen.

Yeah, I don't bookmark the top level, I bookmark "New Stuff." Just make sure you bookmark the link itself and not the resulting one-time search.

also bookmark http://dgrin.com/subscription.php that's my first stop, followed by the "new stuff" link.

I've geeked out and bookmarked tweaked searches for my entry points into dgrin.

    DGrin - new for sale
includes only Gear > Flea Market, Gear > Flea Market > House of Canon and Gear > Flea Market > The Kitchen Sink.

    DGrin - new other
excludes the above three, as well as those excluded from the standard "New Stuff" link (SmugMug Support, SmugMug APIs, Hacks & Tricks, SmugMug Customization, SmugMug Pro Sales Support).

These let me quickly see the new gear for sale, and then focus on non for-sale and support stuff.

Thanks! Just set up my customized search. Works quite well. Between that, my subscriptions and the occasional 'new stuff' hit, I'll hopefully be able to keep up.

Just found Andy's 'lurker' sticky. Guess I should have looked at that first though the title didn't grab me as an answer to the question I posed.

I have my account setup so it goes to the most recent post in every thread.

It's great. I hardly ever scroll in any of the threads!

Oh yea. New stuff is way addictive once you start using it.
