    Just a little friendly C&C....

It would help the image a ton to see more of the subjects eyes. Also, there is some banding or streaking in the BG running from top to bottom along the right edge of the image.....not sure of the cause.

Nice light, and I really like the color of the BG with the subject's skin.

For me there is not enough colour contrast between the face and the background

    Thank you for the feedback.
I'm not sure what happened with banding either.I used a gradient fill layer. The banding does not appear on another forum posting or in my print.

Thanks Chris .The color was intentional,I felt the separation of the black offsets it.
I guess its a like it or leave thing.

I have noticed it ....sometimes....with smugmug resizes that are smaller than large. If you use smugmug this may be the case. To smugmug's credit though this doesn't happen often. I currently have 3844 photos stored with them and have only ever noticed this in two of them.....and both of those had some heavy PP applied vignettes.

    Nice shot.
I too would like to see more of his eyes. They are beautiful.
The whites of his eyes are so much whiter than his teeth, I would dodge the teeth just a little - maybe midtones 12 or 13% - but that's a personal call.
What a good idea to bundle him in black to fram his face.
I agree - more pics of this handsome fellow.
