I don't know if this against any policies, of so, delete this mods, or let me know!
I just wanted to do a quick write-up on two pieces of gear I've bought lately:
Feisol 3401 tripod + Feisol ballhead and Kata DR-467 backpack.
First I'll do the Feisol. I ordered the Feisol from their homepage and got a very swift delivery up to the cold north (Norway). They answered mail quickly and the service was generally good. When the tripod came i brought it up into the mountains for a quick test, it worked flawlessly. It is sturdy, stable and easy to assemble. The quality of it has not let me down so far, simple things as foam padding where you hold it helps a lot in cold Norwegian climate and so far it has been beat around quite a bit, but I love it so far!
The Kata DR-467 is for me the ultimate in day-to-day school-photography-stuff backpackery. I can have my macbook, my canon 30d with a sigma 18-50 2.8 on, the tokina 12-24, my sigma 70-200 and my canon 50 1.4 AND my school books in it, and it still is a very compact little backpack. Smart solutions, durable design and very good fabrics. Details like tripod-pouch (which i use as a water bottle pouch most of the time.. :P ) on the side and a very nice rain/snow cover also adds to it all!
My two cents..
