Arrange mode only temporary?

Is arrange mode in a gallery supposed to affect the order fro longer than while you're just in that gallery i.e. should it 'stick'?

    It depends. If you want to move photos around in the gallery in order to show them in your "arranged" order, then "sort by" in the look & feel section of customize gallery must be set to position.
