Rose.

Bought a small bunch of roses today from the market (the wife and daughter picked 'em) with sole intention of doing photography with a rose bloom.

After some playing around I ended up with two images.

The first one has seen some extensive photoshop treatment to give the image a soft dreamlike effect:

The second one was very carefully set up afterwrds, by adding a tiny droplet of water onto a single petal edge - which was specifically focused upon with selective DoF.

I definately prefer this image to the first one btw:

Enjoy.

Very nice shots Paul. I agree with you. I like the second photo best but having said that your first photo is excellent too because of the meaning behind it.

    Lovely shots Paul,
    Prefer #2
Nice PS treatment on #1 but think the leaves look a bit odd like that. Not sure but might look better with the stem stripped first.

    Thanks Brian.

The roses are in a vase now, so may still get a chance to play around again.

Hi Paul, I'm not real keen on that dreamy look.
I think it's one of those things where you either really like it or you don't.

Love that second shot clap.gif that is really really pretty nod.gif
