I'm leaning towards #2, like that expression, colors etc. I do wish that little branch didn't cut across that way, but hay what ya goin do. Ask the Bird to move a little to the right
Here are a couple of birds I photographed this morning.
Outstanding Brian.
If they were egrets it would be perfect.

Got any strategies to share on shooting owls? I have seen a great horned near by at dusk, have seen something small and white flying in my backyard after dark, and can hear an owl in our back tree stand. So I am pretty sure there are owls nearby!

f/8 and be there? Just kidding.
For me the trick is just finding them. They are camoflaged very well and are hard to see. I was told where to look to fing these guys and they were exactly where I was told and it still took me a half hour to find them.
I used my flash extender which helped as they were extremely backlit.

For me, the color detracts from the subject.

Yeah, frames are subjective at best. Some people like them and some dont. Heck, sometimes I like them and sometimes I dont.
