Keyword help

I uploaded a few new galleries and started to keyword them. I RAN INTO BIG PROBLEMS!

Every other time, I added keywords as follows:

derby,"kentucky derby",horse,"run for the roses"

When I do this, it places the whole string of keywords in quotes as follows:

"derby,"kentucky derby",horse,"run for the roses""

This causes the whole string to be ONE BIG FAT KEYWORD!

What do I need to do to straighten this out?

Thanks,
Ryan

add them one at a time, clicking preview after each keyword you add.

    derby - preview
    "kentucky derby" preview

    etc

well adding them one at a time does work but it's a work around not a solution. This is particularly problematic when I have to add, say 60 photos to a gallery with 200 already in it. It's easy to add the first keyword as I can enter it to all blank keyword fields but from then on I have to manually select all those 60 pics I just uploaded to add the other keywords one at a time. Pain in the...

and removing quotes strips out quotes that you actually want.

Is this in the pipeline for being fixed?

How about uploading the 60 photos to a new (empty) gallery, keywording them, and then moving them to their final home?

If you enter a multi-word phrase in the keyword box, then smugmug will automatically add the quotes.
