As in "Pier Today, Gone tomrrow?"

I am a great admirer of your work, but the frame in this shot feels a bit too empty for my taste. The cloud texture is nice but not, I think, strong enough to hold center stage.

I love the lonely, stark quality of this shot.

I do too, but if it were mine I would tempted to crop off the top. I think the bottom half makes a fantastic 1:3 pano. My favorite feature of the shot is the underside of the pier; the black posts and the shadow in the water are gorgeous. I dunno. Maybe it is simplistic of me to want that bit a little closer to the center of the frame.

BTW, in case you don't already know it, you would probably enjoy the work of Brian Chapman

I love this shot. There is a wonderful sense calm. The composition has a nice balanced feel. I could see that on my wall.clap.gif Wendy

You know Tom, when I look at this image knowing full well that the pier is over water, it's like an optical illusion.

I see clouds, and a mountain top just peaking through the color coverage.

Except for the fact that there is a horizon in the image,
you could easily be led to question what your eyes are seeing.

Well Done, Excellent Shot Tom clap.gif .... Skippy :D
