What are the differences?

I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. But if I was ever gonna find a place to shave a few bucks. It would be on the grip.

Any opinions?

Ebay battery grip.

OEM batter grip.

im guessing the OEM will match texture....
try your new camera without a battery grip first, the nikon batt lasts longer than i expected...

For what it's worth (prolly not much because it isn't first hand) I've read numerous reviews of the Nikon OEM grip that were anything but complimentary of the build quality. In particular, the clips that hold the batteries in are reportedly suspect. If those low opinions are legit, why not go with after-market?

    Thanks John,

I'll probably grab the knock off. To be honest, the battery life isn't what I'm going after. I'm more interested in the shutter button and dials that I have easy access to in portrait orientation.

It doesn't hurt that it makes it look allot like it's big brother the D2X either mwink.gif
