It has been a while since I shared one of my pictures and I figured it was about time I did. Here is a blue dragonfly I shot on Saturday morning. One of my better ones and I have to say not only am I pretty happy with it but it printed up just great as well. I hope you like it as well.

Nice shot Ralph. You did well with the BG.

    Thanks Matasa and Gary,
Actually reading your reply Gary reminded me I needed to update my sig details. I shot this with the Canon 100mm Macro lens. As I have with most of my macros in my macro album at

Stunningclap.gif The colours are brilliant and the dew on the wings and body give it that extra oomph!

Wow! Those are all gorgeous! I've never seen a dragonfly all covered with dew like that. Wonderful captures. clap.gif That macro lens is moving up the priority ladder for me.

The above Golden Dragonfly I tried to shoot in a similar fashion to the Blue Dragon above. However the background wasn't as kind to me but rather than Photoshop it out I left it little busy as it was. There is a lot to keep an eye on and the background in the feild is a difficult one. Not as good as the Blue dragon but worth sharing anyway I feel

    Hello Skippy,

Thanks for your comments. I like both the dragonflies as well. I am pleased you think they are olay.

The "Grasshopper" is actually it's casing. The grasshopper has long since left. Sorry I should have said that on the picture.
