The sun was out for a few days and I grumply crawed out of my cave to exercise the shutter and charge up the batteries.:huh

Lisa, I used the 400mm lens for this because the mountian is about 25-30 miles away.
The trees were about 2-3 blocks away. The compression of the telephoto lens really worked here I think.
I also took pics of this scene with my 70-200 f4 L, because it is my benchmark for sharpness. But I think the 400mm did pretty well w/ a fast shutter ,mirror lockup, remote shutter, and tripod.
