I had 2 more ideas for this challenge and then I give up. Do you like either one. I added the noise to the face photo, I thought it made it a little more interesting. I also increased the contrast on the bridge. Do you like either one? Are they minimal, and would you change anything? At this point I don't really like anything:dunno Thanks for the help. Nicole

Good work, both are beautiful, I think the first photo is more suited to the challenge.

I really enjoy the second one. For some reason I have a big thing for repetitive symetry.

If they face either east or west, it would be cool to try the shot again trying to capture rays of sun shining through

I like yours, Nicole. For the challenge I like the second one.

I know the feeling, I don't like any of mine, either.

    Hi, Nicole-
I think the second shot is better suited for the challenge, with the repetition of the vertical lines...even though I FEEL more when I look at the first one. I'm finding that this challenge is difficult because it's more of a "style" than I'm used to incorporating into my photography. I think a lot of us normally take pictures of things that we just plain find interesting (hence the reason this is such a good challenge topic)!
    Hope that made sense. headscratch.gif

I think they are both minimal. The second one, probably more than the first. But, I actually like the first one more. I like the fact that the face seems "flat". The lack of shadow and roundness makes it more minimal. It's my favorite.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I decided to enter the bridge because someone else had already entered an eye. I also thought is was a better representation of minimalism because it doesnt evoke any emotion. Thanks again.Nicoleclap.gif
