A tip please

I would like to place on my Portuguese blog a window with a slide show of my last photos on SmugMug.

What shall I paste here to make it work, please ?

At the bottom of your homepage is a feeds button:


right click on the atom or rss feed of your choice and copy it, then paste it to your blog menu.

But, please look at the picture in my first post.

Whatever I paste in that space - the place surrounded by the red line - it never works.

As you know, flickr, Picasa and Photobucket are there as default and for those no, I don't have any difficulty, but for Smug ...

I upload all the photos on SmugMug and on Flickr, but I rather use the first, as I would like other people to look at my photos there and not on flickr.

I know I am a lurk in computers but I would like to keep it simple and straight:

What to paste in that window ?

I do know that these kind of small problems are pretty easy to solve.
But for people who knows what they are talking about. And I don't.

The way from Smug feed returns me this.

It opens a window with a small picture and I want it to open the Smug page...

Anyway, where and how did you get it ?

I would like that people click one the window "Fotos no Smug" and go to Smug, just like what is happening now when you click on "Fotos no Flickr".

Another window is opened and there comes flickr.

I want the same for Smug.

No, I want only for Smug.

I don't want flickr photos on the blog.

I don't want to give connections to flickr.

I want connections to Smug.

If and when the window works for Smug - and for the last photos - I erase the window to flickr.

I see what you are saying. This may very well be a function of the Blogspot widget, since it is not actually made for SmugMug. Can you please copy and paste the feed URL you are using to make your Flickr widget work? I would like to look at what you pasted into the widget for that.

Hi Antonio,

Yeah, I believe it's a function of that widget. You can at least make it so that when someone clicks on one of the thumbnail images in your slideshow that it will take them to a larger image, instead of a thumbnail image.

Add this to the very end of the feed that you placed in the slideshow widget in your blog:

&Size=Large

No spaces, or anything else, just add that to the end. That way, when someone clicks on one of the pictures in your slideshow, they will at least see a larger image

I rather - excuse me - do it another way:
Do you see "Arquivo de fotografias" in the blog ?
It means "Photo Archive" as you may know because it is similar to Spanish.

Under this title there are 3 items for the moment: The best; The most recent and Setubal.

If you click in any of them you go directly to the photos page. They are links. (I do know a lot of this don't I ? D)

This allows me to insert links at will and according to the pictures I am taking.

One of them will be - later, in some time - "Touros", which stands for ... well you know... when I will be shooting bullfighting, a "mission" I will be doing during 2008 and that will end in a Blurb book.

That's the idea !

White background horrifies me and hurts my eyes.

I run from it as much as I can.

I am only in Flickr because it is - or looks to be - nearer European and Portuguese photographers.

And it is also, not so expensive.

Placing the links - to my galleries in Smug - in my Portuguese blog the way I do, makes me to update them from time to time because the link I copy from the browser refers to a picture and not to the gallery itself.
