Tablet/pen issues with Java upload?

I have recently started using a Wacom Intous 3 tablet for my photo work. I have encountered a problem when trying to upload images to SmugMug using the standard Drag & Drop funciton. It seems that a double click from the pen is not recognized. When I use the browes button to drill down to the directory with the images I want to upload I can not get any reaction to a double click on the pen. If I use the Wacom mouse it works fine. The double click with the pen works as expected in all other applications on my Windows Media Center PC. All Wacom and Windows software is current current.
I have opened an incident with Wacom tech support. They could not correct the issue and have no other reports of it but did mention using pressure detection may be an issue although neither the Wacom tech nor I could figure out why that would be necessary.
Any ideas from anyone would be appreciated. It's not a big issue but one I would like to get fixed. I really like my pen and tablet....
