Bloom

The wet weather doesn't inspire to go out and about, so I look into my back catalogue and try to enhance my stock library.

This is an unknown flower, grown in the garden by the moosus and tended for lovingly until it bloomed into this delightful piece of nature.

The background was tremendously busy and so I have used a Tiffen centre-spot filter (free trial available @ http://toolfarm.com/plugins/index.php/Tiffen_Dfx_Digital_Filter_Suite) to reduce the background to a less obtrusive blur, and then I framed it with a glass-frame from IC.Net's plug-ins. I do however, quite like the way the leaves on the foliage behind the subject lead into the centre of the image towards the focal point - the flower itself.

I really like the flower and the softness that the OOF petals give. The backround is a bit busy but gives the pic some dynamic interest. The border though is not really my cup of tea. Take all I say with a crate of salt though as I have neither the experience or the education, only my POV:D
