Drive-by Shooting...Midtown Memphis

While riding around today in Midtown Memphis, I took a few shots...nothing spectacular. Midtown is an artsy sort of area with nice early 1900's type homes.
I've always like this home...at one time, the lot covered a city block.

Also in the midtown area is Overton Park...one of the more beautiful city parks I have come across. The Memphis College of Art is in the park.

Behind the College of Art is the Brooks Art Museum...

These fellows guard the art museum...

We have a doughboy in the park also...

Young folks like to chill out in the park...this fellow is an aspiring art student.

There are neat things to photograph in the park...

Leaving the park, we see the entrance to the Parkview...once a grand apartment-hotel...now a retirement home.

Cruising midtown...a typical midtown home.

And a typical midtown street...

And another typical midtown home...

Getting a little late so I zapped a couple of night photos in Forrest Park, adjaecent to midtown.

Well, that's it folks.
