Here's my DNS configuration for brogen.com:

photos CNAME smugmug.brogen.com
smugmug HOST(A) 63.81.134.23

When I go to photos.brogen.com it resolves to smugmug but to a site that's not found as shown below.

photos macaskill (Photos)'s home

Any thoughts would be appreaciated.

The CNAME needs to go to www.smugmug.com, not to brogen.smugmug.com. Then in your smugmug control panel under your account settings you set your url.

I have done all that...but, by default if I am wanting to share a link....it still does vegasphotographics.smugmug.com....Isn't there a way to have only my domain in my image links?

The links in your navbar are what is causing the switch back to your smugmug name. You links currently look like this:
    <*a href="http://vegasphotographics.smugmug.com">Studio<*/a>
    <*a href="http://vegasphotographics.smugmug.com/gallery/2926554>About Us<*/a>

Change them to use relative names, without the web site name but still including the following information. That way the url will stick to whatever the viewer used to enter your site. Same pages via relative links:
    <*a href="/">Studio<*/a>
    <*a href="/gallery/2926554">About Us<*/a>

    Remove the *'s before using!

    Add On Question
If I want my own URL, do I have to register and pay for it or does SmugMug take care of that.

I'm guessing the former, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Denise, it took me a ton of back and forth to finally get the CNAME and associated links correct. Your explanation in post 5 of this thread was the answer. Just wanted to weigh in my most exhuberant THANK YOU! clap.gif
