Sandhill Cranes' Tai Chi

Sun was getting low was on my way out of the local refuge and came across this group of Sandhills. They were hanging out by a small levee.
The sun was not on the side of them I would have liked so I was just watching them since they were so close. I guess they took pity on me and decided togive me a show.
Then they started walking out away from the levee to open water and started doing their dance, pulling debris out of the water and throwing it at each other, jumping and chasing each other about.
I was pleased when i got home and looked at the captures, I really liked the effect of the light angle. Pretty bad when the birds no more about the light than you.

    Nice action shots of the sandies. thumb.gif I bet if you played with shadows and highlights in Photoshop or equivalent image editor you could brighten some of the dark areas bringing out more detail. Nice light where there are no dark shadows though.
