Greetings,

From time to time, I've been picking up a periodical called Lens Work.
It's a small sized magazine that features portfolios of selected photographers
as well as informative articles on photography.

Issue 57 just happens to feature the portfolio of Kristin Satzman. The
subject featured is "Sanctuary". It's a collection of images from around the
San Francisco Bay Area parks. The vast majority are in the fog and all printed
B&W.

There's also a feature article by Bill Jay called "Magazine Memoirs" about the
rise and fall of Album and Creative Camera.

Lens Work's not something I'd buy regularly but I do thumb through it often.

Worth a look see. About US$10 at newstands like Barnes and Noble or
Borders.

I have a subscription to LensWork & the issue your talking about just arrived here yesterday. I love this magazine. One of my favorites along w/ the ones Andy listed. Aperture is really good too. You can pick it up at borders, but they are a little pricey.

    Anyone have other favorites?

Nothing like reviving an older thread: my favorite Dutch magazine by far is P|F. Great stories, a few tests that are about usability in stead of measurability, and usually a nice range of outstanding pictures.
enjoy being here while getting there

I am about 2/3 the way through all of Brooks Jensen's 430+ Lenswork podcasts. I have to say these are really thoughtful and passionate editorials that are usually 2-4 minutes long full of insightful material about the creative process, which is so hard to find among the usual gear-oriented publications and discussion groups. you can subscribe from iTunes or from their website. highly recommended.

Wow, talk about reviving an old thread. But, it's worth it to let people know about LensWork--probably my favorite photo mag. Gotta cough up the subscription price soon...
