WTB: Canon Rebel XTi

I'm just starting out and I thought that this would be a good SLR to get started with. If anyone is looking to get rid of their XTi, please let me know! I am very interested!

I've been looking around online (of course) at prices, and I was hoping I could get something used and maybe a little cheaper.

*edit* oh yeah, I've played with the XT and the XTi and I would rather find a XTi. I feel like I would out grow the XT quicker (does that even make sense?).

xt should be more than sufficient if you just started photography. i had xt for a couple of years and the only reason i upgraded to xti was because i could get it for free..:D otherwise i would stick with my xt. how much knowledge do you have about dslr? if you know little, i would suggest get the xt and put the money toward better lenses. just my 0.02.

I am literally just starting out. I've heard a few people say that its a good idea to get a decent body and then spend the big bucks on the lens, so there must be some truth to this!

half-true. if you just start out then there is no point of spending lots of money in gear. start with something modest.

used xt can be had for around 300 or maybe less these days.
pick up a used 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 for around 50-70 bux.
then add 50mm f/1.8 for another 50 bux.
with these two lenses, go out and start shooting..:)
if you need a telephoto zoom, then you can get sigma 70-300 APO for around 150 bux.

Yes, I do. I have a new XT Kit (w/18-55) available for $390.00 shipped within the 48 CONUS.
