Good day All,
I am interested in getting another lens for my D70. I have zero'd in on Sigma. Does anyone have any experience with the 170-500mm vs the 50-500mm lenses and how they compare with one another?
Any feedback on either?
I currently have the Sigma 70-300mm and love it.
Thank you.

Not a word on the 170-500mm/F5.0-5.3 DG. So if anyone has worked with that lens, a word would be great. Here's where I saw this lens:

The general consensus seems to be that the non-OS/HSM 170-500 is a bit below the IQ of the Bigma and possibly hard to find a good copy. That being said, Sigma has announced a new 150-500 OS/HSM lens that seems to be a revamped Bigma with OS that, if its IQ is equal or exceeds that of the typical Bigma, may be the way to go since the OS may allow for a bit lower shutter speeds to overcome the slower apertures......
