Changing the default view of images in public galleries

Hi,
I added another public gallery and set prices etc.
I noticed when I checked that it said the original couldn't be downloaded because the size of the image wasn't large enough.
So, I went back into my customize this gallery settings and changed the available size to original from small. (I had previously chosen small in the hopes that it would prevent image theft of the origina, figuring that the system would know that the original is there). Maybe I'm wrong, but is there anyway to set public galleries up like that ... so that the viewer only gets to see the small version but the system can make orders from the original etc.
I really dislike the idea of exposing original size files to just anyone.
On top of this, when I click on a specific image (when I'm logged out) it automatically takes me to the Original size and it is in the iFrame thingy.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I'll go check that out.
Mary Ann:)
I would also rethink specifying small as your largest viewable image. If you are trying to sell your photos, allowing only small images to be shown does not give your viewers a good feel for the photos. (Of course that's my personal opinion, yours may be different...)

Right now, I have someone enquiring about certain photos I have and I would like to let them view them but I do not want them to be able to just take them.
My watermark is still not showing up in this gallery.
I've set it so that original size is available, it is just that I would prefer that the default view of the images is small because if the view the person lands on is the original view then they are pretty much forced to download the image (or switch the size view, if they bother to scroll down to the bottom of the huge image and figure out the "S,M,L,O" business (not everyone gets this, is my experience, as I have password protected my photos to allow people to view/print etc. images).
Also, when I got to purchase this photo for "Origian size Download" I'm getting a message that the file is too small for this (High Res 4M pix)
Here is the exif data from a couple of "original" images, according to SmugMug data ... maybe I'm about to embark on a learning curve I hadn't anticipated.
I guess I need to shoot in a higher resolution to make it count.
(And I probably need more coffee this morning before I try to sort it all out)

You should turn the original off. If it's on, and if the individual views the photo, the image is in their browser and can easily be stolen - even if you have right click protection turned on.
I believe you should allow viewing at least up to L (large), if not larger (I have mine set to display up to X3Large) - but always block the original.
Did you edit your photo, maybe saving it as a smaller size? 702KB is very small. I just looked at one of my photos, shot from a Canon Digital Rebel XT which is able to shoot at 8 megapixels, and my file size is 3.59 MB. (If you want to see the EXIF for that photo, you can request info at http://www.denisegoldberg.com/gallery/4162113#243031887). And another photo, shot with a Canon S400 - a 4 megapixel camera - has a file size of 2.02 MB. EXIF available from photo at http://www.denisegoldberg.com/gallery/3961344#241244765.

In any event, there are lots of images ahead of me of me. And much of what I have is still useful, just not the way I thought it was.:)
I'm going to go block my origianls now and allow for large as you advise, it makes sense to provide a good viewer's experience.
And I'm going to go look at the images you suggested.
Thanks again,
M.A.
