Hi all,
I need to frame half dozen 12x18" prints for display. I've been looking at various companies. Just wondering if anyone has a lead on a good source, cost being the major factor :wink
I'm looking to frame the prints using plain 1/2" to 1" black (or dark) frame, white single mat with a 1" to 2" border.
Cheapest source I've found in UK so far is £30 each :confused

PM me if you find anything worth looking into....
because of cost i have even been looking at wal-mart & Target but they look so cheap....so i dont think thats my solution...
ive been meaning to stop by a local frame place and see if they will do them for me at a higher volume price....but havent made it that far....

Tried them, but gave up navigating their site... although I'm now coming round to the idea of mounting / framing 16x24" instead (as 12x18" doesn't seem as 'standard' as I first thought) so might give their keyword-fest another go.
Thanks

You could give Imagekind.com a go. The freebie account offers you a single gallery with up to 24 images. However, you could direct people to choose from your Smugmug galleries, you could upload to your Imagekind.com gallery, and then let them order from there. They let you set your commission and you can manually rotate images in and out, so it is pretty much matting and framing on demand.

Looks interesting. Not too expensive either from what I can see.
Nice images, BTW

I hope it helps. I've had a handfull of people say they'd like to buy images, but only if they can get them framed. There is an option through pictureframes.com, but it seems to be on the expensive side to get rolling with their option.
Thanks for the compliment. They are from my Grandpa's collection and have been restored by the kind folks at Scancafe.com.
Thanks,
Scott

For now I'm just about set on a UK based company for gallery frames, and another for individually wrapped mounts. But I will keep them in mind for future.. their prices are reasonable. I guess I should phone them, seems strange not to offer any non-US delivery

You remember correctly. It's the owner & he goes by "fdi" on the forums. I would try asking, he might say yes (he did for a question I had ). Check in the main flea market section, there's a thread there.
