A cover shot of course (not to mention 3+ pages of my images and a feature on your's truly in the Lightroom section of the magazine....)

So stoked they contacted me! Really becuase it's not an "motorcycle industry magazine" and so it really tickles me to think that other folks might find these images interesting enough to go and watcha race and to see how much fun can be had, and how cool the people that GO to the races really are!

Wheeler and AutoMotoPhoto spreading the word!

None.... Aside from some of the usual, saturation, contrast etc, this is as it was "born"...the only PS I can see is whatever they did with the top of the helmet with reflection of the letters..

    Cool,

Any word on the street date of that issue - or is it already out...

Is that an NAPP members only publication?
I'm not familiar with non M/C pubs rolleyes1.gif

Is the article an "inside Andrews workflow" type of story?
    thanks,

It was published today, and should be in newsagents today. If you're a NAPP member I think you get a copy as part of the membership.

The inside stuff was an interview (in the Lightroom section) thus there are half a page of my images on the section leader page, then interview and three pages of more images.

I'm kinda thrilled. My Dad would've been stoked.

Great work, Andrew. It's not often we see that kind of image on the cover of a mainstream mag. thumb.gif

I just got my "electronic download" copy that they send to international subscribers... waiting for it to finish downloading so I can read it! :D

Great cover and a real feather in the cap... Photoshop User and NAPP have never done this type of article/cover before that I'm aware of... well done Andrew!!

    Cheers,

On a lighter note...so now the mission begins!
Well so I head down to a mainstream newsstand and yes they have 'photoshop user' - however its the jan/feb issue (which says 'display until feb 26' by the bar code-yikes!) but I'm not to be discouraged so fast; so when I could get online, I check the NAPP site shows your cover (!!) but ironically they allow no option to order current or back issues without paying annual dues -foiled again- kinda weird considering it's available at the newsstands rolleyes1.gif guess I'll wait....but again, congrats Andrew!!

    Andrew, great stuff! Congrats!thumb.gif

Curious on the business side, do they have to specifically get your permission to 'shop your image (the reflection of the letters), or is that implied in your release of the image?

    Thank you one and all..

...and to answer your questions, yes permission was asked. It's not unusual from my on experience.

    One more word on this....
I normally recieve somewhere around 11000 hits per month on my website of which 40% are unique hits, and roughly 1100 to my blog (roughly about the same...

The world went mad this week. After one of the PS User guys/staff posted a review and link to both my site and blog it went out of control.

In ONE day, my site was recieving over 100 hits PER HOUR that were unique!

    Pretty damn crazy crazy!
