Took a drive through the Berkshires the other day and stopped in Pittsfield. This old bank building caught my eye both because of the name and the architectural style. Dorset marble from Vermont was used in the exterior construction of the bank about 1909. The quarry was owned and operated by Norcross-West Marble Co and was the oldest quarry in the U.S. having begun operation in the mid to late 1700's.
