Hi everybody,
i live in Venice Italy.

i think that it's so boring watching the same Venice postacrd pics,
so i took my boat and i went around Lagoon of Venice (Murano, Burano, Torcello).
There are ither secret parts that are very romantic and lovely: barene, ghebi and secche

Take a look

I can't see your photos of the "barene", but I've been to Venice several times, and always thought the marshlands around it would be an interesting place to explore and photograph.

Something different from the normal Venice clichés, definitely. :D

    marshlands as Barene PICS
    you are right!!

I had trouble last night uploading some of barene shots.

Barene (marshlands) pics were taken around the east part of lagoon of Venice near Burano and Torcello.

Last summer i went with my boat and i landed on there to take some wonderful sea shells called "caparossoi" that you can safely eat cooked with a bit of Lemon and a glass of a good sparkling wine called Prosecco.

    Stay tuned

    Angelo,

I'm moving this thread to Landscapes because Journeys is for detailed travelogue-style posts. If you want to put up specific photos and tell us more about your trip through the lagoon, that would work! thumb.gif

    Carnival of Venice 2008
i've just came back from San Marco square (Venice Italy).
It was a lovely day (sunny and warmy)
That's the last day of Carnival called "Fat Tuesday"

There were a lot of fantastic masks, but a lot of prof shooters!!!

i will submit my best pics in a new gallery as soon as possible

    bye
