It's like you can't throw a rock without hitting one nowdays.:D

Went back to Iowa with Kate for another try at the eagles.
The skies are not pretty, and they're staying a little farther away, but I think I have a couple of OK shots.
We're hoping for better skies tomorrow.

#2 and #4 are my picks, but all are nice. The first one looks like he's missing some feathers.

    Thanks Mark.

Nick, I know what you mean. I'm going to have to get that Locked Talon in the air thing, or just give up on eagles.

    But until then.....

Beautiful images, well done. I really love the first and third ones. Oh, and the one with the tail dragging in the water (& decent reflection!) is absolutely fantastic also thumb.gif

    Dave,

I understand about being critical of one's work, but I think your shots are awesome. I would love to have captured anyone of your shots. Where are you taking these? I'm envious. bowdown.gif

    Thanks again.

These shots were taken along the Mississippi river in southern Iowa, and I didn't think I was to critical about the shots. I was more disappointed in the weather than anything else. Had the skies opened up a little, these shots would be good. But with all the overcast skies we had, the best these could be is OK.

    Dave,

Sorry for the delayed response. Been traveling on business.

I re-read the post, and I'm not sure why I got the impression you were being critical of yourself. Either way, I'm envious of your work!

    No problems Dale.

Thanks for looking and commenting everyone.

One last shot from the weekend.
A red tailed hawk was flying parallel to our car when it dropped into the tall grass.
When we were able to see it again, we could tell it had caught something, but we weren't sure what.
Ended up that it had a dark colored bird, I think it was a starling.
I thought Red Tails didn't go after birds. I guess you learn something every day.
