I am SOOO jealous on so many levels, but I'll only mention two:

    1. Shot #5 -- awesome capture

    2. The fact that you get to shoot in North Carolina where they're in short sleeves already, and I'm shooting mainly in Providence where they'll be plowing the snow off the field probably for another month!

I missed Brown's opening scrimmage; I expect to shoot them vs. Drexel this coming Saturday.

If those young men can deal with it in their shorts, I'll deal with it, although maybe not happily.

As for 27-0 vs H-S, the only thing surprising about that is that they turned the scoreboard on in the first place. Good for them for trying to improve by scrimmaging vs. a finalist in last year's tournament.

    Love the dive shot.

    Isnt H-S DIII?

And I'm always surprised to how minimal pads they wear, especially the shoulder pads, they pretty much wear basic liners.

    Please keep posting!

Generally they don't wear cups either. I gave up years ago on trying to get my son to protect himself better - they are all about "freedom of movement" especially as it relates to running and shooting.

Quick story totally off-topic: last year my son was a PG at Deerfield; undefeated going into biggest and next-to-last game of the season. My son has a ritual of always taking the last warmup shot. He took that shot on the starting goalie, hit him right where it hurts the most (quite inadvertently of course) and put him on the ground for 20 minutes! I had to turn my back, couldn't even look let alone contemplate the symbolism. End result: goalie recovered, we won 11-7, my guy had 4 goals. Best lax game I have ever seen.

Now back to our regularly scheduled broadcast . . . sorry moderators!

Tremendous! (Even if it is Duke!)

I am so ready to get away from basketball and stupid indoor lighting!

Thanks for the reminder about what photography is all about!

PS: Too much padding just gets in the way--but no cup is just asking for trouble-especially for a goalie!
    Regards

    Will

Oh man, tell me about it! I'm working in LR right now adjusting the WB in every single shot and telling myself over and over, "it's for the kids, it's for the kids".

On the bright side, my 400 f/2.8 arrived on schedule today. No press credential? No problem!

Greer had no prblem last year with his padding getting in the way
Greer is coming off a junior season in which he amassed 67 goals and 27 assists for 94 points. His 67 goals led the nation and rank as the third highest single-season total in NCAA history.

every season I used to have gnarly bruises all over my arms, then blew both my knees out when I got flipped while trying to dive for a goal. Your pictures make me want to play again.

And to think they outlawed "The Dive" to protect the goalie! So sorry to hear about that!
