Just have 1 question, how much does the barrel extend when focusing?.
Ive read a couple of reviews, all of them with different pictures on the lens. On some, the barrel extens what seems to be 4 miles, other ones only 2 miles =).

Anyone have a pic of their 90 mm macros to show me?.

It´s a fine lens, just wanna know for sure, how much the barrel extend :).

Have a good one.

    I just measured mine...
The barrel extends just a smidgen over two inches at full extension (1:1 image) beyond the length of the lens when focused at infinity. The front element of this lens is recessed beck from the front edge of the lens barrel also. However, because of this recession, I don't use a lens hood on my Tamron.

Note: My lens is the non-Di model which was offered prior to the introduction of the Di model. I don't know if this makes a difference since I have never seen, nor used, a Di model. My non-Di copy provides such great imagery that I have never considered changing to Tamron's Di model.

You are right about this lens being excellent. The imagery I obtain with this lens is right up there with the imagery from my 24-70 f/2.8L, 17-55mm f/2.8 IS and 70-200mm f/4L IS lenses.
