The hairs bother me...think I would have done a shave before the photo session....other than that it is interesting.........................

    hi atomicjade!

it's an interesting shot and a good focus point.

like art scott i'm not too keen on the hairs. keep in mind that when shooting 'macro' or close, everything will be noticed. i am continually dusting off everything i shoot now because all shots are dusty... rolleyes1.gif

all in all nice shot thumb.gif

And I'm a bit confused by the orientation of the image. Nice curves though.

I don't like the hairs in this shot either, colour is not a natural skin tone,
it looks very orange to me.

Those two things aside, I like the angle and the actual ornament :D

    Use White balance

Try this shot again by first shooting a white card (heck, a piece of photo paper will suffice), then set your camera to custom white balance, choosing that photo. ( in your camera manual will describe how to set custom wb). Then take your shots....the colors will be much more true.

that should work (could set wb with my z6) and otherwise you could set the WB with photoshop or RAW 4.1

    good luck! thumb.gif
