Finally worked out what to do with flowers - blow them up. All shot using real flowers except #7 where I shot a flower displayed on my PC screen using available light.

Neat effect Brian thumb.gif I really like the way the colour of the flower gives a different bg colour.

As a matter of interest were the drops on a sheet of glass with the flower behind?

    Thanks Al :)

nearly correct on the method - I actually used one of the lenses in a pair of spectacles so I could stand it up easily :). All have a real flower placed behind the specs except the last shot where I used one of my pictures being displayed on my PC monitor - had to shoot that one in available light at ISO1000.

    WOW Brian!

I really like this idea, though the first and the last are my favorites because the flowers stand out best from the background. The second one looks almost like a huge pink jellyfish swimming for its prey. lol3.gif

Interesting--I will have to try the eyeglass lens technique. I am an optician, and am curious to see if the prescription of the lens will afffect the out come ---near sighted (minus Rx) lenses tend to "minify" things, where as far sighted (plus Rx) tend to magnify. I am not currently employed in this field of work, but I still have a few contacts--I'll have to see what I can get a hold of, and do some experiments!

    Thanks for the great inspiration!!!
