While having a random drive on the 35 last night, we came across a reasonable spot to get some photos (not easy as all the best views seem to be from the freeway). So, I had a play with the light...
My luck must have been in at one point. I'm not sure how (perhaps a large truck went by) but I managed to get this interesting effect in one of the exposures:
Finally, not forgetting how we got here:
After our last rental car, a hideous Ford Taurus (a true affront to taste and decency), a couple of Brits are very happy with a proper American set of wheels.
All photos taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1 and Leica 14-50 f2.8-3.5 kit lens. It was quite windy so I kept the lens's IS switched on.

Thanks for taking a look and commenting. The ghostly light shot really has grown on me over the last day (and to think I was going to throw it away when I looked at the out of camera JPG before playing with the RAW file).
