Getting interested in MACRO,I have made a front flash for my macro lens`s. Using a Sigma 50mm macro lens, at true macro (1:1) the front element being about 1.5" from the subject and the flash mounted on to the lens the apperture for the shot is F27- F32 giving me a large DOF. My question is should MACRO have part blur or all in sharp focus? I suppose it depends on the subject taken. The flash can be taken off of the lens and positioned anywhere.

Typically yes, macro work usually has an extremely short DOF. Focus stacking is a method used to mitigate this to a degree. More information about focus stacking:

You can reduce the output of your flash in several ways, but certainly by covering it with layers of translucent material.
