It came in today and all I can say is WOW. That field of view will open up a whole new world! But I gotta say, there was a thrill of the hunt on this one. I just about never found one.

Thanks again!

Andrew

P.S. We are getting the storms that ravaged the mid-south last night so I have no pictures that are worth posting as I am stuck indoors......

Congrats. After much reading and input from the folks here, that's my next lens. Good to hear you like it.

Now the struggle begins. How long can I hold out for B&H to get one in stock before I spend more money to get it from somewhere else. :help

If you mean the Canon 17-55 F2.8IS....
....I know all about the thrill of the hunt!!!

I patiently (or not!!) waited with my discount code for that item to be "in stock" at B&H fow a couple weeks around Christmas. It was worth the wait, and the $$. I have been very very impressed with it so far. I knew from others that it would be sharp. What I have learned since is that it is ALWAYS a dead on focuser, and it is also a SUPER fast focuser.

Here is an example from mine....
