What do you think?
A few of my friends were just messing around after school and I took a few shots. Initially, the shot was kind of blah (seen here) but I didn't think he stood out at all and the white balance was off. So I made a few changes and wondering what you guys think?

Your pic is an ordinary kind of snap but it is ordinary too in a good way, that is, there is nothing bad about it
The best thing is that you are POSTING!

Other than that, it's very crisp and clear!
What don't you like about it?

I think you should offer some suggestions if you're going to criticize a shot.
I'll give you a critique
I think you did a great job exposing the shot. Chose a good angle that didn't have anything busy in the background to compete.
It looks to me that you were zoomed out pretty close to 17mm. I can tell this because of the barreling on the upper left back wall. This is something you need to watch out for. Especially if there are allot of lines in the background.
I would have also backed out (or stepped back) a little bit so the shot didn't feel so crammed.
You might try opening up aperture 1 stop to get the whole bass guitar in focus. But that can be REALLY hard to see on a small LCD while shooting.
All in all, good shot!
I'm only providing feedback since I really believe this is what you want to hear.
Cheers,
-Jon

I really like this editted one, the motion blur on the stick is great! I think the drum behind, or next to him should be infocus though. I like the background blurred. The second cymbol looks like it's not part of his set, is that intentional? Did you add curves too? The colors seem to pop more in your edit. Again, good job!

All I did was I set the black point for WB/color correction. The drum behind him is not a part of his set which is why I left it out of focus; maybe I should clone/patch/heal/idk it out of the shot? The hihat infront of him is a part of the set but it was more away from him so I left it OOF.

I think you captured the action pretty well and the colors look pretty close.
