Books in metallic finish

At MacWorld I found a photo book printing company that offered books with the metalliic print finish. I lost my schwag bag, and I can't remember the company's name! I tried mpix - their site only offers "one of our three press papers, 100# text, linen, or pearl". I checked Blurb - nowhere on their site do they list ANY of the print finish options for books.

I'm going to keep checking but I thought I'd ask here in case someone knows who it is that offers these books!

Did you try printroom.com? They were the company that were promoting a similar product like smugmug that offered web storefronts, online sales and digital printing. They offer a wedding album with an option with metallic paper.

Try them. From my research and follow up with one of their sales reps though, smugmug offers a much better overall product, better service and support. They do have a free membership with limited features available and some different products, i.e. metallic paper.

    Good luck

Just out of curiosity, have you considered that not everything looks good on metallic paper?

I haven't seen a ton of photos printed this way, but of the ones I have I'd say that only half (or so) of them actually looked "right" on that medium.

Just sayin - when choosing a special media like metallic paper you may need to more carefully chose the photographs that go into the book.

I use Metallic paper for many of my prints. I really like it. But linen and pearl are also exquisite. Depends on the image and use.

Graphi Studios is known for their metallic books. You must have an account with them to order.
