I'm struggling with my d300...it's mostly the exposure giving me trouble.

Very nice shots, Jeff. In my opinion, the quality of the shots at high ISOs put this camera ahead of the pack. Have you tried the new object-following focus? If it works well, this seems like another great feature of this camera for bird photography.

So far I've found the AF on the D300 to be a major improvement over the D200.

Congrats on the camera Jeff. Guess "Musketman" will have to go. rolleyes1.gif I hear the weather sealing on that model is ideal for protection against pineapple juice and pizza sauce. Nice series of pics. I'd keep it...unless you want to jump ship to the other side. :D

I have really good luck with exposure --underexpose things but I have always done that with ever camera .pm me and let me know what you meen ,I have trouble with my bifs only that just makes me mad as heck .The camera has way too many settings --make sure vivid is off and most every thing is in neutral . The thing I find is that NX is the biggest bag of crap , view locks up all the time
