These couple of shots were taken not long after a young male Lion had a go at this Zebra's hind quarters. He lived to fight another day.
Sth Luangwa NP - Zambia.

    Wow, I'm glad he lived, I know it's only nature and part of the natural food chain, but gosh I'm a softy when it comes to Animals and Life :D

    I'm kind of surprised he made it. He looks a little squat to outrun or maneuver a lion. I could probably do superhuman acts too if I was motivated by a hungry lion though:D

    He was lucky but a couple of well placed kicks and even a lion (most probably a lioness) will back down. Nice image representing the struggles in Nature.
