    I like the emotion in this shot and the funky colors are neat. The solid black on the left however, is very distracting and swallows up the person being hugged.

    It's an evocative shot. I'm guessing you shot with a point-and-shoot. Next time, I'd pay attention to having the flash on the top end of the camera when you go to portrait orientation. That way you don't end up with the shadow in the air behind the subject.

    The shadow is acctually supose to be there:) The takes away the thing in the bg that don't fit in the picture.
