Thanks for your comments, Sam & SloYerRoll. I've removed the images, since I didn't want to trigger a whole new discussion about them and, as SYR pointed out, this isn't the critique forum. But thanks for looking!

I've been giving the "lights off" scenario some more thought, because we actually did that at the pasta case for instance where the shelves were backlit. But even with the case lights off, there's still the overhead light (fluorescent and tungsten spots) to deal with. While at the front there's window light, the store nevertheless is huuuge, so turning off the overhead would leave you in the pitch dark everywhere else. Plus, D70 = Noise.

Concerning sharpness, I have to say that the last shots I posted with the before and after pics were taken from the original large PSD files crudely downsized for display here. The versions actually submitted weren't so bad, was shot at F16 I believe.

As for my original copyright question, I've decided not to make too big a deal of it and simply included a .txt file on the CDs which pretty much states what Icebear and Andy suggested - that they have non-exclusive unlimited rights for their own use.

Are we all friends again :D?

Greetings and thanks to all who helped!
