I visited my grandparents. Today's reason: their 65th anniversary :lust :barb

I took only a few shots, and most didn't work out the way I wanted to. I did like this one of my grandfather. He's 92 years old, here sitting in their living room, listening to one of the aldermen who came to visit and congratulate them:

What an incredible accomplishment. I think it was my parents 45th last month.

He's still got a lot of hair for 92. Looks good!

    A great portrait, Ivar!! clap.gif

You can tell in this photo that he's sharp as a tack, attentive. I love his expression because it is very involved and animated. That bodes well for the genes in your family!. :D

I like your processing, too, whatever you did to this.

Thanks for the comments, guys thumb.gif

Schmoo, the processing was done in LR. I used the 'direct positive' preset and a little bit of custom stuff. It seemed to work well for this shot.

    92 years old, their 65th anniversary...that's lovely. iloveyou.gif

Myself, I enjoy listening to the elderly speak of their life's accomplishments and adventures; as time passes the story become more romantic and intriguing.

My folks are up to about their 62nd. I organized their 50th, and saved a manila folder with all the paperwork, and was able to retrieve the folder to make the 60th easier to organize. The biggest difference was no email addy's for their 50th :D Of course I've put the file away in the hopes I will need it again, and maybe again...

Those are some vibrant colors there -- are they really that bright or is that part of the preset you mention?

The preset does punch up the colors a tad. The jacket was affected the most, i think, it was a bit darker and more purple. The differences are not huge, though thumb.gif
