Afternoon Folks,
Just testing my Canon 70-200 2.8 (non is) on a friend's Cockatoo. The bird is fun to work with, but just don't ignore her or she'll let out a yell that will curl your hair.
Have a good afternoon :D

Also testing the 200mm end of the Canon on the neighbor's dog, Kane.
He's just an 80lb loveable, white Boxer that loves to play.
    Have a good afternoon :D

So I was looking at buying a new lens today. This was one I was considering. Random question though. What does the 'IS' stand for?

That boxer is cute. Looks like he wants to play. The cockatoo looks good but a darker background probably would have brought out more detail in the plumage.

Image Stabilization. It really helps in indoor, low light situations.
    Have a good day :D

    Thanks Stephen.
It was originally darker, but I used the shadow slider a little bit. Maybe a little bit too much:cry

Wow, I'm dumb. I actually have a lens with IS, but I never put it together. Thanks

I bought my 70-200 2.8 over at FM for $800 delivered last month. Best money I ever spent on a lens, next to my Tamron 17-50 2.8, which is just as sharp from 2.8 wings.gif
    Have a good day :D
