If you're interested in a comparison between the Tamron 70-300mm, 18-250mm, and 28-300mm lenses, I've put one up here. It's not highly scientific, but it may still prove useful to pixel-peepers.

Why? I finally got a 5D and wanted a walking-around lens for my Rebel XT that would also work on my 5D in a pinch. I sold the 70-300 and 18-250 and bought the 28-300.
